Position Summary:

BioFire Defense, LLC is currently seeking an intern with knowledge of chemistry, biochemistry or molecular biology. This position is part of a team responsible for conducting studies to support submissions for regulatory approval. The intern will work closely with the Clinical Research Associate and Clinical Research Scientist to assist in the management of clinical studies and requires an individual who is highly organized and detail oriented. Additional responsibilities may include general laboratory activities such as cleaning and assistance with testing of contrived samples. Communication, honesty, and follow-through is imperative to position. Performs all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioFire Defenses’ Quality System.

Training and Education:

• Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 1-4 years of college. Applicants must be working towards a BS in a scientific field. Prefer candidate with some related experience and basic laboratory technician skills (pipetting, materials handling, and contamination control), basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word and some knowledge of statistics or data analysis are a plus. Must be able to safely lift 20 lbs.
